Dota is a custom scenario made for the game warcraft 3. In the past few years, this game has attracted many Warcraft3 lovers to come together and display their skills in Dota.

This game has also become a feature in many worldwide gaming competitions like WCG (World cyber games), Asian Cyber Games and many more. I myself have been following dota since version 5.84C till now that it had modified to version 6.57b.

This game features defending your own 'castle' between the good and the evil. The good is named the Sentinels which has 40 heroes for you to choose from, and the evil is named the Scourage which has another 40 heroes for you to choose from.
The game is started with maximum of 10 players, 5 versus 5 and the blue color of the game which is mostly taken by the host of the game chooses the mode to let the players play in.


There are certainly a number of modes, however, for casual gaming we would also use the AP(ALL PICK) mode. AP mode means that you can actually choose which hero you want to use from the good or the evil.



In Dota, one only have to control a hero, fight the incoming creeps from your enemy and kill the opponent heroes to get gold and experience. One can also mix and match item recipes in the game to make the hero stronger.

The game wins with either side break the throne, the major building inside your 'castle'. Dota not just features friendly gaming, but also real time strategy. You actually have to think hard while you play in Dota.
